University of Manchester
Offering a wide range of opportunities, the society is a part of UoM Sport, which provides a broad range of athletic activities for students.
The club competes in regional and national tournaments. They have also hosted special events to promote the sport, such as a women's-only event in collaboration with the Islamic Society (ISOC) to celebrate World Table Tennis Day. The club also competes in the annual varsity matches against other universities like Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
The club is known for its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. It has actively worked to increase diversity and participation, particularly among female players, recognizing a historical gender gap in the sport.
Table Tennis Society
The society holds its sessions at various University of Manchester sports facilities, such as the Armitage Sports Centre.
I joined one of these sessions and created two illustrations from the day itself.
