About

Aim
I draw large scale events to gain traction towards my aim. To shine a light and market those communities that you may not of heard of yet. Local radio stations, youth groups, non-funded groups.
To me they are the most important part of our society. They are the foundations of allowing people to develop and grow within safe and social environments. The aim of my drawings is to show how small groups are representented by their audience and to shine a light on the people that make them.

Meet Gertie
I have been working across multiple live event industries that include finance, music, sport and food since 2018. My work is easily adaptable to a brand and its customer/clientele. My unique eye for design allows companies to withhold a unique selling point that draws a viewer in.
Favourite colours:
Orange & Emerald Green
Favourite graphic novels / comics:
Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang
Ghost World by Daniel Clowes
Killing & Dying by Arian Tomine
Artists that inspire me:
Chris Lloyd
Eugenia Mello
Clara Super Duper
Sophie Tea
Zoe Thorogood
I draw a lot of my inspiration for visual communication in other people's stories. If a brand is hosting an event or starting a new project, I find happiness in being able to communicate their vision and bring it into fruition
