Green Loop Project
A project that took place with Fylde Council was an environmentally themed participatory art project.
Designed to help the local community connect with the Fylde coastline and raise awareness about plastic pollution
It was a creative and community-focused initiative, quite different from the "active travel" green loops in Manchester.
Branding
I collaborated with Nerissa Cargill and the local participants to create a range of branding for the Green Loop Project
Logo
Traditional sans serif font that allows the illustration to morph with it’s type. A seasgull (famous bird that lives by British coastal towns) carrying a life ring signifying that GLP aims to ‘save’ our coastal town from damaging the environment through it’s used of sustainable product development.
Type
Georgia (Bold) gives our brand a traditional and simple title.
Georgia (Regular) is used sparingly for secondary titles that may be seen on product labels and receipts. Doesn’t divert away from the bold title but also shout about important information at a second glance.
Quicksand is used for paragraphs and on flyers and leaflets. Soft and rounded, aimed at families who will be using the Art Trail Map to guide them and look for these objects around the town of Fylde.
Colour Palette
We selected five colours that are consistent across Socials and physical products. These colours are inspired by sea elements: water-like blues and mossy greens with a stand out orange represented in life buoys and equipment that you may find washed up on the shore.

Brand Personality
Environmentally friendly, reuse, reduce, recycle. Seashore elements. Rubbish and sustainable products made from cleaning up the coast.
Target Audience
Locals of Fylde and surrounding areas who will be visiting the day markets. Families, older generation of 40+.
