Short Supply

This project marked my first commission with Short Supply, a Manchester-based artist-led collective known for championing creative opportunities across the North. I was commissioned to design the poster for the WEFT Residency exhibition at Islington Mill—an event that brought together a group of artists for a four-day collaborative reunion, exploring questions around shared space, horizontal working, and post-isolation creative dynamics.

The poster was designed to reflect the raw, conversational spirit of the residency—capturing the energy of artists reconnecting, experimenting, and navigating collective practice. Using bold typography, layered textures, and a playful composition, the artwork aimed to echo the experimental, grassroots nature of the event and the atmosphere of Islington Mill. The composition was that of the actual space the exhibition was being held in behind the Mill.
